Year Three had a fantastic day visiting Astrazenica in Cambridge.
We were given a tour of their new Discovery Centre which included 18 laboratories and the children found out about the different stages involved in making medicines. We saw robots in action and we learnt about how Astrazenica heat and power their buildings using renewable energy. Later, the children learned how to use state-of-the-art pipettes and were given various challenges using these tricky pieces of equipment. Year 3 were amazed and astonished by the scientific equipment.
We had a wonderful day and hopefully we have inspired a new generation of scientists.
